hi offshore music radio!

i emailed once before & didn't receive a response-i have really enjoyed listening to your broadcasts since i discovered it several months back. the "pirate radio" film was a lot of fun, but i wasn't sure how much truth there was to the story. do you by chance have some sort of wearable, i.e. t-shirt or baseball cap that you can send me to help spread the word about your marvelous station? please let me know!

thanks,
Patrick

Currently listening to the program, "Offshore Radio 1964 - 1967" on offshoremusicradio.com. Ah! The memories it brings back of listening to Caroline, Big L, Radio England, etc, in my teens in Kent. Thank you OMR. That was real Easter treat... even without the chocolate!

Alessi - Oh Lori, played at about 6.25pm on Wednesday 31st March - that's not the original version. Close, but no coconut.
If you need a copy of the proper one, let me know.
At the time it was out, I was with Pennine Radio in Bradford and that track was played more often than I drank coffee!

As a passionate lover of great sixties music, I'm always on a quest to find radio stations that play songs one HASN'T heard countless times on oldies shows. The great joy for me in finding Offshore Radio is hearing songs that were hits in England that never made it over here: I can't express the treat of hearing a new Walker Brothers song, say: or, better yet, an artist I hadn't yet known. Please, whatever you do, stick with the songs that WEREN'T giant worldwide hits. And I'll keep listening.

I'm actually too young to remember to pirate radio days of the 1960s. But this doesn't stop me
enjoying the music - a good mix of classic tracks and
some less familiar ones - better than those so called Classic Gold stations.
P.W, Swindon, UK

Fantastic jingles and music from a long time ago with very good interviews and presentation.

"A lot of your music is absolutely unique to the pirate radio scene and I haven't heard a great deal
of this stuff (including the commercials and jingles) since then...good grief,
what has it been....35 years???? Yes, this is a real time-warp, and truly a pleasure.
Thank-you for "floating" the memories again. I love it."
