How well I remember that January morning in 1965 when I called round to see a friend on the way to school and heard pop music coming out of his radio! At that time of the morning on a normal weekday I would have expected to hear Joe Loss or the BBC Northern Dance Orchestra. Within minutes the presenter had identified himself (Pete Brady) and told me that I was listening to Wonderful Radio London. I was hooked from that moment on.
