I suppose my musical  journey started at the tender age of  9 years old when I received a copy of  The Beatles'  Twist and Shout ep for Xmas 1963,
which I played constantly as it was the only record in the house that actually belonged to me.

The first  discs I bought myself were again by the Fab Four, these being the Sgt. Pepper  album and Magical Mystery Tour ep., both with money I received
for Xmas 1967.

My  musical tastes expanded through the progressive ' 70s and electronic '  80s but I still have an affinity with the psychedelic '  60s, especially the afformentioned Beatles.

As well as listening I  also take part in various music quizzes, some serious and some not so serious. I remember listening to the pirate stations between ' 66 & ' 67, Kid Jensen's ' Dimensions ' show ( midnight to  2am. that was ) in the early ' 70s, and John Peel's ' Top Gear '.

Recently I've done some work for a local radio station and welcome the  opportunity Offshore Music Radio have given me to expand this particular  activity. One thing that gives me pleasure is playing  the music I enjoy to people who might not have had the opportunity to hear it first time round.
